Plain terms for a simple app.
Aspenote records audio, transcribes it, and writes a summary. Both are performed by an AI model. AI output can be wrong. Do not rely on a transcript or summary as a legal, medical, financial or safety‑critical record without checking it against what was actually said.
Laws about recording conversations differ by country and by state, and in many places every participant must consent. You are responsible for having the right to make any recording you make. Aspenote does not check this and cannot.
Aspenote includes a small number of free recordings with a maximum length. The current allowance is shown in the app; we may change it, and if we reduce it we will not take away a recording you have already made.
Aspenote Pro is a recurring subscription billed through Google Play. It renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in the Play Store subscription settings — cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy.
Pro includes a monthly fair‑use allowance, shown in the app. It exists to stop automated abuse, not to limit normal use. Live text draws on the same allowance somewhat faster, because it costs more to produce. If you reach the limit by using the app normally, email us and we will raise it.
Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. We claim no rights over them and we do not use them to train anything. See the privacy page for exactly what is stored and for how long.
We try to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Transcription depends on a third‑party AI provider, and an outage there is an outage here. Your audio stays on your phone until a transcription succeeds, so an outage delays a note rather than losing one.
Aspenote is provided as‑is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from an inaccurate transcript or summary.
You can stop using Aspenote at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or breaks these terms.
